Chapter 468: Chapter 468: Cultivators of the Three Sects
The cultivators from the three sects reappeared so quickly, momentarily after which, a tremor went through the capital — everyone knew that a great battle was inevitable!
Little Stone was so formidable, having reversed Heaven and Earth with his own power last time to drive away the cultivators from the three sects. This time would definitely not end quietly — a vast storm was brewing.
Contrary to many people’s expectations, they did not cause trouble immediately upon entering the city. Instead, they settled down, exuding an aura of serenity and peace.
The War Generals of the capital were also commanded not to strike as Shi Hao knew that these visitors were no ordinary individuals. He did not wish for the experts among his troops to act rashly.
Once a power becomes unfettered, detaching from the mundane world, these formidable cultivators would not heed others; once they acted, it could result in rivers of blood and countless deaths.
Clearly, the cultivators from the three sects were assessing the situation — there were many suspicious points in the last great battle, a shocking and bizarre event. How could Little Stone alone be that strong?
These individuals, true masters, had come across the domains; they wanted to investigate personally, to verify what exactly had happened.
Two days later, Zhang Liu reappeared, standing outside the imperial palace, his body glowing golden — a manifestation of having cultivated the Vajra Unbreakable Body to profound levels. He sent someone to request Shi Hao to meet him.
However, a War General responded with cold indifference from the top of the imperial city, “The Emperor holds a revered position, who merits his presence for a meeting? Do not put forth such unreasonable requests anymore.”
Even so, a large troop of soldiers began to assemble, with several powerful War Generals starting to mobilize troops to capture him.
Zhang Liu remained silent. Little Stone’s power was already established, and he could no longer treat Shi Hao as just another cultivator. The New Emperor’s majestic authority was fully evident; he would not give due regard to this envoy.
The New Emperor presided over the imperial palace, treating even the strongest successor from the three sects who visited as just another common citizen, not giving face at all.
“Is that so, he has come?” Shi Hao, upon receiving the report, nodded in approval of the War General’s actions. He then reached out with a giant hand, formed from the Imperial Dragon Energy, aiming to suppress Zhang Liu.
Zhang Liu, immensely powerful, if distant from the imperial palace, was on the same level as Shi Hao, his instincts and perception exceptionally sharp. Sensing danger immediately, he retreated at great speed.
He left behind a letter, and just like that, retreated.
Shi Hao did not provoke further; he did not pursue but carefully read the letter, then flicked it away with his hand, turning it to dust.
The three sects were not united as one; the Western Sect, having sent their strongest successor to deliver a letter, wanted to make a deal, clarifying their stance, willing to support him wholeheartedly.
“Still just wanting to use my power, aren’t they?” Shi Hao scoffed. The letter mentioned that they only needed to borrow Stone Country’s power in the future, to help the Western Heaven Sect find something on this land.
Shi Hao commanded someone to scout and see how many cultivators from the three sects had come, and which significant figures were in charge. The results came back quickly.
The number of people entering the city was not small, but that was just the superficial strength. Outside Stone Capital, there must be a supreme presence, not yet entered the city, casting their gaze upon this ancient city.
“I originally wanted to suppress them all, but it turns out those who entered the city are not the big fishes, so let’s wait a bit longer.” Shi Hao mused to himself.
Some guards, overhearing this, shivered with excitement. Deep down, they were apprehensive about the three sects, but seeing the New Emperor’s demeanor, they felt reassured.
“Your Majesty, these people are contacting some Princes and Princesses,” Peng Jiu brought this news.
Shi Hao remained silent, saying nothing.
Peng Jiu sighed. The old Emperor was so dominant, daring to contend with the greatest of calamities without submission, yet some of his descendants, to ascend to the throne, were willing to collude with the Outer Domain’s Great Sect.
Of course, some Princes and Princesses were truly unbending, never paying attention and not getting involved in the struggle for the throne.
“I gave them a chance and did not want to take action. If they make their own choices, then it can’t be blamed on anyone else,” Shi Hao said calmly.
Old imperial bodyguard Peng Jiu sighed, opened his mouth as if to speak, but did not know what to say; it was indeed a thorny issue. And some Princes and Princesses indeed went beyond, not only looting the treasury and stealing secret manuals from the Ancestral Temple but also repeatedly trying to destabilize Shi Hao’s position as Emperor.
In the evening, a middle-aged man came to the outskirts of the imperial city, reported his name very unassumingly, requested someone to report, and asked to meet Shi Hao, claiming to come from Immortal Mountain.
“It’s really unexpected. I thought the people from the three sects would immediately start a war with me, but it turns out they all have their own thoughts, coming to see me privately,” Shi Hao mused to himself.
“Because Your Majesty is strong enough, alone able to suppress the Imperial Titles and truly rule Stone Country, they also hope to find a strong Emperor who can truly muster the power of a nation to assist them,” Peng Jiu remarked.
“Then they have miscalculated,” Shi Hao scoffed.
The middle-aged man from Immortal Mountain, having entered the Central Heavenly Palace and seen Shi Hao seated up high, secretly marveled. The legendary Little Stone indeed had great momentum, radiating the aura of the emperor.
“Emperor, actually, you and Immortal Mountain have close ties, as the blood of Immortal Mountain flows in your veins,” the middle-aged man said directly as he approached, very straightforward.
Shi Hao sat cold and aloof, looking down at him, the entire Heavenly Palace aglow in golden light, the interior swirling with True Dragon Energy, an astonishing scene presenting immense pressure.
The middle-aged man’s status was not simple; he was a powerful Imperial Title holder named Qinling, but upon entering and facing this much younger youth, he felt his heart pound with fear.
He whispered, “Your Majesty, you and my clan truly share a blood relation. In a sense, we are indistinguishable, for we are relatives.”
Shi Hao remained silent, merely gazing at him. An invisible aura of immense authority emanated from him, unnerving an Imperial Titleholder so much that he felt increasingly terrified and jittery.
Qinling found it incredulous. Was Little Stone really that frightening? How could it be that merely by sitting there silently, he exerted such pressure that Qinling felt suffocated?
The middle-aged man’s heart palpitated as he urgently spoke again, hoping to alleviate Little Stone’s indifference and reduce his own pressure. “Your parents are currently at the Immortal Mountain.”
Finally, he noticed a change in Little Stone’s demeanor when he looked up, no longer as placid as a tranquil well.
“A child should be like Little Stone, this is a saying among many elders at the Immortal Mountain.” Qinling purposefully slowed the previous topic and timely, subtly praised.
“How dare you be so impudent in front of the Emperor?” Peng Jiu rebuked, for comparing descendants to Little Stone tarnished the Emperor’s reputation.
Qinling felt stifled. He was from Immortal Mountain, carrying no ordinary status. Wherever he went, he was flattered and revered. Yet here, not only did he have to endure Little Stone’s terrifying pressure, as overwhelming as a mountain, but he was also scolded by an old imperial bodyguard. It was utterly humiliating.
Shi Hao waved his hand to dismiss Peng Jiu and asked calmly, “My parents are in Immortal Mountain. Why do they not return to the wasteland or come to see me?”
Although he appeared calm on the surface, waves of emotion surged in his heart. This was a knot in his heart. Why had his parents not come to see him after so many years?
Earlier it might have been different, but these past few years his name had resonated throughout the wasteland. Since the dual battle at Stone Country, he believed that his name was known throughout the eight regions.
“For certain special reasons, they cannot temporarily leave the Immortal Mountain. However, if the Emperor wishes, you could go to the Immortal Mountain to meet them.” Qinling tried his best to show a gentle smile, appearing very sincere, for fear of angering Little Stone.
“Has the Immortal Mountain imprisoned my parents?!” Shi Hao’s voice was icy cold; his eyes sharp like daggers as he looked down at him, his aura intimidating.
Qinling was terrified. Was this still a being of royal strength? How could he be so frightening, making him feel chills from head to toe, a sense of powerlessness that was hard to counter, his body quivering slightly.
“No, I swear, they have not been imprisoned; it is merely protection, as it is said they may ascend to higher realms.” Qinling hurried to explain, fearing Little Stone’s anger.
Shi Hao fell silent upon hearing this.
“Your Majesty, if you miss your parents, you can go to Immortal Mountain to reunite with them. Moreover, you now have a brother, equally outstanding and astonishing.” Qinling said this.
Shi Hao heard a thunderous sound in his ears. He had a brother? For a long time, he did not move, looking down below.
“Is my grandfather also at Immortal Mountain?” Shi Hao suddenly asked.
“I do not know.” Qinling was puzzled.
“What do you know then? Speak!” Shi Hao demanded sternly.
“When I came, an elder only told me this; I really don’t know anything else. If the Emperor wishes to understand more, you may visit our Immortal Mountain.” Qinling wiped his sweat.
“If you know nothing, what use are you here for?!” Shi Hao thundered.
Momentarily after that, Qinling felt dazed, almost collapsing in the hall, completely flustered.
Half an hour later, he walked out of the imperial city, sweating profusely, staggering, his face pale, filled with immense dread, having nearly forgotten what he had said under duress. He only felt that this young man was more terrifying than the desolate beasts, causing him such fear and disarray.
That night, Shi Hao sat in the Central Heavenly Palace motionlessly until the dawn of the next day, like the rising sun, before he recovered.
Someone reported that outside the imperial city someone had arrived, a beautiful Taoist priestess, immensely powerful, asking for Shi Hao to come out to meet her; the guard who came to report was pale as well.
Upon hearing this, Shi Hao walked out of the Central Heavenly Palace. Situated at the highest ground, this place was akin to a small mountain where one could overlook everything and gazed into the void beyond the imperial city.
“My Heaven Mending Sect has thrived eternally, always undying, stronger than any royal dynasty. Now I represent the supreme sect to meet with the Stone Emperor, is that not permissible?” the middle-aged Taoist priestess said indifferently, her words carrying a tone of disdain, unwilling to speak more with the War General.

She emitted terrifying fluctuations from her body, making some soldiers on the walls of the imperial palace turn pale, a remarkable sight.
“I have already reported; the Emperor summons you, you may enter the palace to meet.” A War General spoke, feeling a bit nervous, suspecting she might be a Venerable One!
“With my status, and representing the Heaven Mending Sect, even were the old Stone Emperor in power, he would come to meet me. Isn’t it right for the child to come out once to meet?” the middle-aged Taoist priestess said coldly.
This was a commanding tone, completely disregarding those on the walls of the imperial palace, carrying arrogance and contempt.
Several War Generals, being very loyal, were infuriated upon hearing this, one ges:before;”>”You da…
