Chapter 178: Chapter 112: Killing and Heart Punishment_2
Yan Fei looked around at the encasing White Mist, a bold idea suddenly emerging in his heart. Since in the end he was always killed by the ghost Yan Fei, why couldn’t he choose to take his own life? If he committed suicide, with a different way of dying, could there possibly be a different outcome? At this thought, Yan Fei grew excited. He had tried countless methods before, yet none had succeeded in taking him out of the Infinite Loop Space. But if he killed himself, might it be the only way out of this space?
The reason Yan Fei thought of this desperate measure was that he had been killed by those ghost Yan Feis too miserably. He would rather commit suicide than die at the hands of the ghost Yan Fei again, especially since it seemed the most likely way to escape the Infinite Loop Space.
Just as Yan Fei had this idea and was about to find a way to commit suicide, the room’s door suddenly exploded, and a horde of dark figures streamed in. They were none other than the ghost army of Yan Feis, who had died in various horrific ways. The ghost Yan Fei army, upon seeing the original Yan Fei, immediately surrounded him, ready to kill him.
The original Yan Fei closed his eyes and raised his hand, ready to end his own life. That’s when he suddenly heard an ethereal singing voice. Startled, his action stalled, and the ghost Yan Fei army stopped their movements as well, fear appearing even on their expressionless faces.
The original Yan Fei’s heart stirred. Looking through the shattered doorway, he saw golden light speckling through the dense mist outside. At first, the golden light was like fireflies, seemingly about to extinguish at any moment. But slowly it merged together, growing larger and brighter. Eventually, it coalesced into a light sphere the size of a fist, emitting blinding golden light from within.
Upon contact with the golden light, the dense White Mist melted away like snow under the scorching sun, slowly fading until it vanished. As the golden light drove back the mist, the ethereal singing grew clearer. Eventually, Yan Fei heard a holy chorus and then hoofbeats resounded with a clip-clop rhythm.
The ghost Yan Fei army, seeing the golden light, showed furious expressions on their faces. They roared loudly, their faces twisted with terror, attempting to scare off the advance of the golden light.
The original Yan Fei watched the brightening golden light, feeling warmth he hadn’t felt in a long while. The golden light continued to grow, and with its increasing size, its power also surged. It dispelled the mist faster and faster, swiftly restoring the world to its original state.
Then Yan Fei saw a pure white Unicorn emerge from the dense fog. Atop it sat a holy maiden, the vanishing Wen Rou. Dressed in a pristine white gown and mounted on the Unicorn, Wen Rou held a magical wand in her hand, chanting a beautiful hymn.
As the Unicorn-mounted Wen Rou appeared, the large light sphere flew above her head, then merged into her body, making her look even more saintly. Gracefully waving her magic wand and chanting the hymn, Wen Rou radiated golden light, rapidly dispersing the thick White Mist. Under her influence, the mist dissipated quickly, and in less than a minute, the entire world was cleared of mist, granting Yan Fei a bright and clear universe once again.
Yan Fei then realized he was in the Dai Ethnic Village, which appeared eerily deserted; aside from himself and Wen Rou, there wasn’t another soul in sight. And the ghost Yan Fei army, upon touching the golden light, collapsed to the ground. They let out desperate howls at Wen Rou, but to no avail. Their bodies quickly disintegrated into wisps of black smoke and then dissipated into the air, never to return.
From Wen Rou’s arrival on the Unicorn to her dissipation of the White Mist and resolution of the ghost Yan Fei army, less than two minutes had passed, displaying an extremely high efficiency in monster eradication.
Yan Fei, staring at the valiant Wen Rou, was utterly dumbfounded, never expecting her to have such a side. Moreover, Wen Rou’s power was incredibly strong, saving him in this eerie world.
Having cleansed the world, Wen Rou soon noticed Yan Fei standing dumbstruck at the doorway. She paused, then said, “Little Fei, what are you doing here?”
Yan Fei, struck by a thought, replied, “Little Rou, can’t I be here?”

Wen Rou didn’t respond to Yan Fei’s question; she suddenly laughed and said, “Oh my! I must be missing Little Fei too much since even in my dreams, I can see him.”
Yan Fei asked, “Little Rou, are you saying you’re dreaming right now?”
Wen Rou cheerfully replied, “Yes! I often dream, and in my dreams, I imagine myself as a powerful sorceress who upholds justice and maintains the peace of the world.”
Yan Fei, puzzled, said, “But how do you know you’re dreaming? Ordinary people generally don’t know when they’re dreaming, right?”
Wen Rou cheerfully answered, “I don’t know! One day, unconsciously, I found I could stay lucid while dreaming, and later, I found it fun, so I kept playing role-playing games in my dreams.”
